We have a command that lets us open a window to insert a hyperlink and then select it’s options.
But what I would love is a button for “Paste Hyperlink”. Say I’ve copied a url to my system clipboard. Now in CherryTree I could select text and click “Paste Hyperlink” and voila! Now the text is a hyperlink based on the text/url on the clipboard – and without any dialogue (it would use default options for hyperlinks).
Instead of your requested new feature “paste hyperlink” you could bind a sequence of keys to launch an external script to do whatever you want. I use this utility for such actions. Sometimes it is easier to combine tools.
Thanks for the idea. Still, it’s not the same as a nice seamless button. I use autohotkey, and could probably code some way to open the dialogue and manipulate it, but it’s not really what I’m wanting.
